The kookaburra is one of my favourite birds. You can’t help but smile when you hear these jovial birds cackle away. This was a nostalgic piece for me. I was reminiscing a visit to a sanctuary some years back, where crimson rosellas would land on our heads quite comfortably and laughing kookaburras could be heard up above in the tree tops. It was such fun.

Painted by hand with watercolour using a single colour, Mars Black, to create a nostalgic and vintage feel which is the very core of this piece.

Saunders Waterford 100% cotton 300gsm, hot pressed, smooth paper, using high quality archival watercolour paints.

Each piece is shipped flat, sandwiched between sturdy, rigid cardboard then placed inside a water resistant sleeve.
